1st Birthday and Other Fun Stuff

We made it through Eli's first year!!! We went to Pocatello to celebrate the event with friends and family. Eli had quite a fun day. He had a cute little cake with two cars on it. He knew exactly what to do with those cars and drove them all over the cake. He wasn't interesting in eating the cake but the car/cake demolition was a blast! It was a fun party and thanks to everyone who came!

Eli actually did quite well on our 3 hour drive to Pocatello, courtesy of Dramamine. We didn't even have to break out the ear plugs we brought along! Yay for drugging your kids!

He has become such a fun little man who keeps us laughing and smiling! It has been so much fun watching him grow and learn in his first year. Before you know it we will be shipping him off to college. Oh, these little people sure know how to steal your heart!

Enjoy the pictures!

Eli has figured out that straws have yummy things in them. Now whenever he sees us with something with a straw, he insists that we share.

Eli's fascination with dirt bikes has begun. I guess it is probably genetic.
I think I like dirt. Still deciding on that one. Further experimentation is needed.
Sitting with his cute 1 year cap, purchased specially for his big day.

Yep, I do like dirt! No further analysis is needed on this subject. Dirt is fun!
Mom's Lemonade is pretty darn good! (or anything else in a big person cup)

Crawling to say hi to all the party-goers.
Commence the cake demolition!

Eli's Great Grandparents who attended his little party.
Mommy and her little man.
Eli playing with his bubble-mower.

Brand new and it already needs maintenance - better rotate those wheels and make sure everything is functioning properly.

Thanks for the fun fridge toy, Aunt Jean!
Thanks for the cool shark duds Grandma & Grandpa Menard and thanks for the sweet truck Uncle Jared!
Hey, I can reach the doorknob at Grandma's house!!!
