- Snow
- Santa
- Snowman
Eli also knows the word Snowman. I am not sure where he learned this word - I don't remember teaching it to him, but he must have heard it somewhere. We put up our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving (Brandon had to work and the library was closed - I had to entertain the kid somehow!) Eli had fun driving his trucks all over the boxes, keeping the lids shut (even when I needed to get into a box), and he found a new friend the Snowman. He brought it up to me and gave it a hug and a kiss and said "Noman." He was kind enough to replicate the hugs and kisses a couple of times for the camera.
We also have a Santa Bear and Mrs. Santa Bear that Eli promptly brought to me and said "Danta." It took me a minute to figure out what he was saying, I am pregnant and a bit slower these days, but he was kind enough to keep repeating it for me until I caught on. I must be so frustratingly slow to him sometimes. He obviously knows what he is saying, his poor dense mommy isn't always so quick to catch on.
Here is that shocked look I was talking about! I LOVE it when he makes this face! It never fails to crack me up!
Little helper putting up the tree! I had to get the step stool out to get the lights on the tree (yes, I am quite short). Eli promptly commandeered the stool and sat on it almost the whole time I was putting the tree together. I found his Santa hat from last year and he, again, was very cooperative for a few cute pics!
What's cuter than a little kid with a candy cane at Christmas? Ok, his slobbery, sticky mess wasn't so cute, but it was worth it for the pictures!
Eli's new favorite song is Jingle Bells. He likes it best when it is accompanied by the little bells on these antlers he is wearing. He always chimes in his "HEY" on the "oh, what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh -hey!" part.
This Christmas is going to be fun, but I think next year it will really be a blast!
This kid is such a talker. I LOVE to hear his little words and love to watch him as he tries to repeat new words. He loves to go to the pantry or fridge and ask for different foods. He can say goldfish, raisins, yogurt, applesauce, macaroni, crackers, cookies, cheese, apples, banana, and probably a couple others. What a novel thing having him able to tell me what he wants! I love it!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

No fair!! Can you send some of that fun white stuff my way?
Eli looks so cute all bundled up to play in the snow!
That was very good of you to put up your Christmas tree so early. I still haven't done mine. I just know that Mya won't leave it alone so I'm waiting a bit.
Eli sure is picking up words so fast! I think you might have a little genius on your hands!!
Love ya!
