Snow, snow, snow - stop snowing already!

I know I should be grateful for the abundance of white stuff that has fallen and keeps falling in our valley, but for heaven's sake! I am getting some serious cabin fever and am left with a dreadful longing for sunshine and out of doors! We haven't been able to go outside much because in addition to the snow we have had wind and LOTS of ice. I don't think anyone wants to see a waddling pregnant woman slip and fall on the sidewalk. If they do, they should seek professional help! Whatever happened to snow melting the same day it falls in Boise??? I am starting to despair that eternal winter has taken over Southwest Idaho and the sun will never warm the land here again (ok, a little dramatic-but I am so done with winter!)

Helping Daddy shovel the driveway.

Eli never was interested in putting things into his mouth until his bicuspids started coming in. Now he frequently can be found gnawing on a variety of objects, some far less tasteful than others.

Making silly faces at the camera!

Eli loves to put on my glasses and see the world through the eyes of a blind person. I remember putting on my mom or dad's glasses when I was a kid and getting really dizzy from looking at the distorted world through their lenses. I know Eli sees the same thing. However, my glasses are getting a bit battered, so I dug out my old safety glasses and let him go to town with them. Attractive glasses, no?

Eli has a new fetish that involves removing the heat registers from their spots on the floor. He loves peering down the holes. We need to rig something up so his toys don't start disappearing into the duct work.

Daddy's little helper! Brandon was caulking around our windows in attempts to keep the elements outside our house and our heat inside! Eli loves this step stool (and daddy of course!)

Eli was sitting so cutely with the pets this morning. No animal was harmed or mauled in the taking of this photo. (This isn't always the case! It is a good thing these hairy beasts are so tolerant!)

Here is a little video of Eli demonstrating his knowledge of anatomy and automobiles. I love to hear his little voice talking. My new favorite thing he says when he comes up to you is, "Hi! Doin'?" for what are you doing? I love it! Brandon has also taught him a couple of Vietnamese phrases he learned from reading war novels. I am not sure how you spell it, and I don't think it the first one means anything good (no profanity, but indicative of war terms). Eli thinks it is fun to say. The first phrase sounds like "Di Di Mow" (unsure of the meaning) and the second phrase is "Dinky Dow" (which means "nuts" like you are crazy).

Sorry about all the snow - I know how much you despise it! Hopefully it will be gone soon so you can get your sanity back. :)
Love you lots!
