Another One Bites the Dust
At naptime I usually put Eli down in his crib with a couple of fun library books with which to amuse himself should he choose to forgo the afternoon nap. This has been a great source of entertainment for the little man until recently when he started playing a little bit too rough with the books.
The first book he destroyed was a pretty cool abacus book that was ended up in more pieces than the attached abacus could count. The second was a little fire truck book, and the third and final book was a funny little jazz-type book about cats and their pajamas. Upon discovering the destruction of each, little man and I had a quite serious talk about how we need to be soft with our library books and it is a privilege to be able to use them. He seemed to sense the gravity of the situation and he always poked his quivering little lip out and wanted a hug. However, this did not stop him from being a repeat offender. He is now banned from books in bed. Third time's the charm, or lack thereof in this case.

Oh no! I'm always worried that Mya will do this too. In fact I caught her with MY library book the other day but I was able to get to her before any destruction occured.
We've gotta love little boys!
