A Momentous Event
I guess these things occur when one least expects it! Eli used the potty for the first time today!!! We had just returned from a slightly soggy trip to the park. It had been raining and drizzling creating a bunch of fun puddles in which Eli tested the splashing capabilities of his new shoes. Puddle splashing is a sport that Eli greatly enjoys! The dirtier the puddle, the better! When we arrived home, Eli was slightly more than damp.
So I drew a bath for him and stripped him from his cold, wet clothes and took him in the bathroom. In attempts to get him more familiar with the potty, I sit him on it before I put him in the tub. This has never been a productive effort, but Eli thinks it is pretty cool. We went through the motions, and low and behold when I lifted him off the toilet to put him in the tub, the water in the bowl was no longer clear, but had a distinct yellow hue! I was ecstatic (I think I scared Eli a little bit). I have never felt so proud of anything in my life, let alone a byproduct of chocolate milk and juice! I resisted the temptation to take a picture of Eli's first production - sick, I know! Honestly, how gross is that? If I had known I would want to take a picture of the end result the first time my kid used the toilet before I had kids, I would have been completely, and totally appalled. It's a good thing I didn't know then the things I know now - I really never would have had kids!

WOW! That is so great! Maybe this means you will have a pretty easy time getting him potty trained.
I can't believe how fast he is growing up.
Love you guys!
