We have been busy the last few weeks of summer. My mom was here, then Brandon's parents were here. We went to a fun birthday party at Eagle Island. We've spent lots of time by the greenbelt downtown - hooray for the river and for throwing rocks.
I've figured out that I shouldn't be messing with my ornery 2-year-old's nap and bedtimes. He has been much happier the last few days with more regular sleeping times - weird, who would have thought he would be happier with sleep???
Xander is getting so big! He is almost 4 months old. He smiles so much and has the sweetest little grin and giggles! I absolutely love it! He is so easy going and I still can't get over how much he sleeps! I never believed people who said babies could sleep 12-14 hours a day and then sleep all night. Now I do!
Eli is starting to look so grown up! He is talking in more complete sentences and he comes up with the craziest things. He always wants to read stories forever at night. After about a bagillion books (okay, maybe about 5), I tell him it's time for bed and he promptly replies with a "One more very, very, VERY last book." He will have just one more very last book until the sun comes up. How can you refuse something that is so cute?
It is really starting to feel like fall here the last few days. I am totally NOT ready for winter, but I do love fall! I have the strangest urge to go and can all sorts of fruits and make jam etc. I feel like a squirrel or something. I think I must be crazy! I haven't ever wanted to be so domestic, or whatever. Weirdo I am; Why I know not.
Here are a gabillion pictures (I never exaggerate)

they do get cranky with no naps....although I must say, I will be a very sad momma when they stop taking them! I'm glad Xander is sleeping well for you. Carson still hasn't figured out the whole nap thing very well. Yesterday he took 2 half hour naps, and was a crab all day. He wouldn't go back to sleep though...no fun!
Goodbye summer, indeed. So sad. I love your very adorable little men! I love your posts, Kirsten. I always feel like I'm just right there with ya. Wish that I really were...
I love the picture of Eli with the scissors...maybe all boys get that crazed look in their eyes when they are holding something dangerous because I know I've seen that look before at our house!:)
