We ventured to Idaho City yesterday for a little hike. I strapped Eli into this wierd (but totally awesome and absolutely comfortable) baby wrap called a Moby, and off we went. Eli thought it was totally awesome and seemed to be wondering why I don't pack him around like this all the time. He loved watching the dog run around and sniff and get drinks. He had fun pointing to things so we would tell him what it was.
It was a very fun hike, and the little guy was tuckered out afterward and took a little power nap.
(As a side note, turning his carseat around didn't prove to be the miracle transforming Eli into a champion car passenger that we'd hoped. He screamed - and this kid is setting new records in volume, the military has contacted us and wants to use him as a new secret weapon to deafen its foes - most of the way there and most of the way home. Nothing beats being in an enclosed space where sound reverberates with a very miffed toddler who vocalizes his complaints with great vigor).

My friend just got moby wrap...pretty cool! I have another friend who has started making her own. I want one for the next babe.
Looks like a fun hike! I love summer! Sorry about the little man's carseat blues...hopefully it will get better in time. Such a cute little dude!
