Some Stats

Xander had his 6 month check up the other day. He weighed 18 lbs and was 27 inches long, the 60th and 75th percentiles respectively. He is getting so big!

Here are some of his milestones
  • The past few weeks he has discovered his hands and his feet and is equally intrigued by both. A fair amount of time is spent examining them and admiring them.
  • He is getting pretty good at sitting unsupported, until he sees something he wants to gnaw on and then he loses concentration and falls over.
  • He is starting to be more vocal, almost like he is trying to talk, certain noises for certain requests.
  • He is having fun rolling all over the place to get to an object he desires.
  • He has two teeth that are just about ready to break through (or go down again and keep the torture rolling).
  • He has enough hair to get messy now. It looks like he is going to be blond, too. Hopefully it will be curly!!!
  • He is so awake to the world now and wants to be into everything! He just about leaps out of my arms to go after something he wants to put in his mouth.
  • He loves foods and loves trying new foods. His current favorite are the little graham cracker sticks because he can feed them to himself.
  • He loves his Daddy, brother, and the cat and dog ( I guess he is somewhat fond of me, too)
He is still such a sweet and happy baby! He is trying to grow up too fast for my taste, however. We LOVE having this little guy in our home!

Xander is growing up fast. It's amazing how much they learn in that first year from being completely dependent to moving around all by themselves.

Time is going by way too fast! I can't believe Xander is already 6 months old and I still haven't gotten to kiss his cute little cheeks. So sad! Miss you and love you lots!

I miss the days when they would just sit peacefully in our laps :>)
