Oh, woe to me this day of days when my nearly 3-year-old son has finally decided to brave the world and figure out how to get out of his crib. *huge sigh* Yes, I have been ultra spoiled that he has remained my caged victim for such a long time, but I just am not feeling prepared for this new skill. Of course it was on a day where he has a cold and is grumpy, wouldn't take a nap, and has been terrorizing all the denizens of our household. (I also happen to have a bit of a cold and Xander is teething and not sleeping well at night. So we are a sickly, sleep-deprived, grumpy group lately).
To add to this new trick of bed escape, he has also figured out how to strip totally naked. Sweet.
After sentencing him to solitary confinement in his room for a pre-bathtime offense, I went in to retrieve said prisoner only to find him buck-naked standing on top of an inverted laundry basket, arms poised in the air, looking for all the world as if he is going to perform a gold medal quality swan dive.
I am so excited that the bed escape trick came in tandem with another super-fun-for-mommy trick. Oh, heaven help this household!!! I am sure I will find little puddle presents as he has totally lost interest in toilet training. I am praying to God and all his Angels on High that he doesn't get artistic with his #2's!!!!!!!!
I think I need to challenge this kid some more. He is getting bored and we are all suffering from his boredom. Get with the program, Mommy!

Potty training is no fun. I've heard good things about the Bear in the Big Blue house goes potty DVD...maybe your library has a copy? Good luck and hope y'all get feeling better!
