Pumpkins and Hard Hats

Oh, buffalo gals won't you come out tonight,
come out tonight,
come out tonight,
Oh, buffalo gals won't you come out tonight,
And dance by the light of the moon!
Cha, cha, cha!

Wow, we are really doing a lot for Halloween this year. Here are some more pictures.

We went to our Ward Halloween Party on Saturday to get more mileage out of his costume. This time I tried to paint a nose and whiskers on him. Lets just say he wasn't a big fan of my attempts. He wanted to paint everything black, he did NOT want me to tickle his face with whatever I was tickling him with. There were alot of tears and not a small amount of snot. Neither of which mix well with makeup that hasn't dried yet. So he had a smudgy nose and smudgy whiskers.

This is what happens when you put the tiger hood on Eli...

Tiger behind bars.

Carving the pumpkin.

I think I may have set myself up for some trouble by having Eli sit on the table. Brandon has some cute baby pictures of sitting on the table with their pumpkins, so I thought I would do it too. Eli now thinks he should ALWAYS be able to get on the table. Oh well, it was cute for carving the pumpkin. He LOVES pumpkins! I don't have any finished product pictures, but I am quite proud of my pumpkin carving! I got a template online of a cat sitting on a moon (Eli loves cats and is still obsessed with the moon). So just for my little man, we have a pumpkin that has a kitty and the moon and stars!

As a side note, here is somethink that I learned from my dear husband. I bought the two little pumpkins so Eli could pack them around. Brandon asked if I was going to carve them. I always thought they were too dense to carve. Thank you Brandon for questioning time-old myths and misconceptions! The little pumpkins ARE carveable and look quite cute all decked out!

This is his little hard hat that came with his Tonka Truck. He was having a blast wearing it all morning. Thanks again, Great-Grandma Nelson!

Taking a break from all that hard work!

I love, love, love it! Last year Max was a lion and I did the same thing...black nose and whiskers...and got the same response. Who knew that could be so traumatic?! Still cute, albeit smudgy, results on the little guy! I am getting SO excited for Halloween!!!

Oh, and Max is going to be a horse this year. Tyler will be a cowboy and I'll be his cowgirl. :)
