Last week I thought I could feel a little tickle here and there, but I wasn't sure if it was #2 trying out his/her dance moves or just my hopeful imagination. This week, tonight especially, I am sure I felt someone bouncing around in there. What an amazing thing!! It is still pretty darn early to be feeling these little gyrations, but they say you can feel it sooner with your second.
I first felt Eli at 16 weeks. Well, I guess this little one is anxious to make his/her presence known at 11 and 12 weeks. I can tell that things are getting a bit cramped in there. I am not showing at all yet, but my belly button is starting to do some weird things. I guess my internal organs and little baby are playing a game of squash at this point and simultaneously a game of chicken to see who will get out of the way first. I think I take the brunt of these little games...sleeping is getting a bit uncomfortable already. Let's just say, I am not a big fan of squash!
Oh, but this is an exciting part of this adventure! What a totally miraculous thing to have a little person shaking their little groove thang around in my belly! I am so excited to meet this little person and to watch him/her play with Eli (and me of course!).
Here are some adorable pics of my adorable son. Have I mentioned that I just can't get enough of this kid? He is really picking up a lot of words and is able to express himself pretty well. He can tell me what he wants, needs, etc. The other morning, we went downstairs and he walked straight up to the fridge and asked for "mamoni and appleloss." It was so adorable that I of course fed my son macaroni and applesauce for breakfast. After all, it is the breakfast of champions, right? Oh, who am I to say anything these days? I am pregnant and my diet is MUCH weirder than his. Oh, and we blessed his unique breakfast 7 or 8 times throughout the meal. He loves to pray and clasps his little hands and always gives an enthusiastic AMEN!
Little streaker packing his digger with him. He developed a horrific case of diaper rash, thereby earning himself some well-deserved naked time (and by so doing, earned the carpet a few wet spots.) Pinch those little cheekies!
He loves hats.
Mmmm. Yummy fruit smoothie!
Snuggles with Daddy on the floor. I am telling you, this kid gives some grade A, high quality lovin's!
This is a pic of the sunrise the other morning. It was so beautiful and this picture just doesn't do it justice!
Even the smelly dog gets some lovin's.
Eli has started making this hysterical surprised face. This pic was too far away to really capture the moment. I guess you will just have to believe me on how cute and funny it was.

Hooray for feeling the babe! I think you feel them early since you have such a tough go of it. Heavenly Father wants to throw some happy, exciting things in there to make up for the junk.
Man, Eli IS one adorable little guy. I love all of those pictures! I love that he loves to pray as well. Max has started to say the prayer along with us often. It is so cute. And that sunset picture...wow! If it's true that the picture didn't do it justice then that must have been one heck of a sunset!
Correction...sunRISE. What in the world are you doing up that early?! :)
I love feeling the baby! Its so fun at this stage - like a little tickle! Mya was a very active baby so I felt her really early too. I'm so excited for you to have baby #2!!
Eli is so stinkin' cute! And so smart!! I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree!! **wink**wink**
Love you guys!!
