The other night we had the pleasure of watching my friend's little girl, Chloe, for a bit (these two are our roller blading buddies). Eli and Chloe had a blast together! It was so cute. They took turns with the hard hat. When Chloe was wearing it, she was also packing around one of my purses (we don't get to see dainty things like that in our house). When Eli would scatter toys all over, Chloe would daintily pick them up. It is amazing the differences between boys and girls!!! They both loved getting drinks from their cups at the same time. Eli did super well sharing his mommy with someone else. Hopefully he will do just as well when his little sibling enters the picture!!!
Yes, here he is attempting to gnaw a candy cane that is WAY to big for grown-ups, let alone toddlers! He had fun doing it and it wasn't too messy. I only peeled the wrapper in the center where he was gnawing.
Here is Eli making sure his trucks are nice and comfy for the night on the dog's bed. Trucks get grade A accommodations at the Nelson residence! As for the dog, well she pretty much just gets whatever is left over. Priorities, you know!
Ok, I am actually really embarrassed to post this picture of our tree. I didn't think it looked that bad until I took a picture of it. I guess it looks better at night with the sparkling lights on and the house lights off - that way you can't see the lack of decor. I was going to pick up some shatterproof ornaments tonight after seeing how bad the tree actually looks, but they didn't have any I liked (at least none for a price that I liked).
Note that even the poor Angel on top is slightly askew. Eli gets a bit rambunctious and this poor Angel is frequently teetering on the edge of her perch probably muttering prayers to all of her guardian angels that she doesn't come toppling down.
At least it is a fake tree. I would have felt really bad if some real tree had to lose its life to be so disgracefully decorated.
