I have never been around little baby girls for an extended period of time so I am not sure if this is just limited to baby boys or not. I must say that the most adorable (and hilarious) sound in the world is a baby tooting. No, I don't mean on a horn - at least not your conventional trumpet or tuba - I am talking about flatulence, passing gas, breaking wind, flatus, or just plain 'ole farting.
Xander is quite a musically talented young man, as was his brother before him. I think the funniest part is that they do NOT sound like anything that should be coming from a little body that is so tiny and cute. I just about die laughing during one of his concertos - I know, not the most proper form while attending a concert. I can't help it though.
Maybe this is just what happens when you are the mother of two boys. I never thought I would thing that farting was so adorable and endearing! I would have been horrified at the thought! I guess there just isn't much dainty or girly at our house - I am outnumbered 3 to 1.

I agree with you Kirsten! Andrew does the same thing and the best part for me... That look Andrew gets on his face as he plays his musical instrument. It's one of concentration and focus. Sometimes he raises his arm for dramatic effect. I think the best moment when he did that was at the family reunion. Grandma Green was holding him and adoring him and all that great grandmothers do. When all of a sudden, TOOOOOOOOOT! The look she had on her face was priceless. I don't know how I didn't die of laughter right then and there... I said, "I guess the rule is if he does that while you're holding him, you get to change him." She didn't find it very funny...
