Well, I guess since Eli is having so many firsts with things I should have one too.
I had my first pickle craving on Saturday. I woke up from a nap and decided that pickles were just the thing I needed RIGHT NOW. So I sauntered downstairs and helped myself to at least 10, probably more, baby dill pickles. It was quite tasty. Unfortunately, I didn't feel so well about a half an hour after said consumption. I don't think that I will be that friendly with pickles again any time soon.
Later that evening after recovering from my pickle binge, I decided I needed - this is a need like you need air to breathe, life and death, get it NOW kind of need - some Johnny Carino's (a lovely little Italian restaurant). So I called in some of their sumptuous penne gorgonzola, a house salad with their house vinaigrette, and some of their fresh, yummy bread. I don't recall food ever tasting so good! It was positively divine.
I wish all food tasted that good all the time! I guess it is good that it doesn't - I would be as big as a barn before too long. And seeing as how we don't have any cows or hay that needs to be housed in a barn, we will stalwartly avoid that transformation!

It's gotta be a girl! I have been a big consumer of pickles this pregnancy. The mere mention makes me want one. Like right now, I think that I will get one as soon as I am done typing this. I thought it would get old, and it has waned a bit, but I still have a hankerin' every now and again.
With Max I didn't have cravings as much as I had things I COULD NOT handle. I haven't really had that this time around. Otherwise, though, the pregnancies have been quite similar.
Welcome to the world of pickles and ice cream, my friend! They write songs about it for a reason. :)
Nice!! I never had the pickle craving. Maybe next time!! Hopefully you were able to keep them down! I am so excited for you to have another little babe. Can't wait to hear if the little bits is a he or a she!!! :)
I'm not sure if you noticed this or not but the ticker for Eli has a cute little girl on it with a pretty pink bow! (a freudian slip, maybe?) Maybe it's a sign that your subconscious is trying to tell you that the little bun in your oven is a girl! Just thought I would let you know. :)
Love ya!
Thanks Bonny! I guess it is always important to NEVER skip steps or your little boy will be a little girl...or something else like that...
